I ordered both books--Real Estate Practice Exams and Real Estate Exam Prep--for my daughter. She was having trouble with the reading materials assigned in class by one of the major national realty companies. These two books are much more user friendly than the manual (and tons of loose papers) given in class, making things easier to organize and understand. I've done the comparison myself, and there really isn't one. These books are much easier to follow and understand than the manual (and tons of papers).Pardon me if I'm a bit off the mark here, Major Realtor, but from what I've surmised, the practice exams book and the Real Estate Exam Prep book we picked up for a song on Amazon are far more valuable than the class for which I shelled out a cool $400.
I can't help but wonder if whoever put the manual for the class together purposely made it hard to understand, and wrote this book to make more money!

Worth the money.
This book was outstanding! It really helped prepare me for the exam better than anything else did. The seven chapters are very specific and detailed and geared toward the types of questions you will see on the test. It's a GREAT purchase.
my class provided all the information i needed - this book had a lot of info that wasn't even on the state exam

It is frustrating that forces a review before you can turn the next page. As I am only in the first chapter, I can't begin to review the book!
The AMP prep book is a good resource because it is written clearly and precisely, a quality often missing in guides such as this. My only criticism would be the number of study questions in the guide. There are no review questions at the end of each topic, and only one full practice test at the end. In my opinion there should be 2-3 practice exams included. Despite this, I would recommend the book. If you are comfortable with the material in this book you will be well prepared for the exam itself.
