A LIRTRPG novel that has the protagonist Anon making his way through a new virtual game world, There are no gold farmers, no alts and no overpriced economy, at least not yet. As he quests and explores he also begins to change. Is he changing the game, or is the game changing him.

I mostly enjoyed what little story there was but it ended far too soon. In this litrpg you barely get started and the book ends like someone just randomly picked a spot and cut a book into pieces. makes me wonder where the other two thirds of the book are. As far as what I did get to read it had some interesting stuff and the MC is fairly likable but it also suffered from a few litrpg tropes that are getting old. One of them is that the MC immediately sympathizes with and interacts with the npcs far more than anyone else and the rest of the players are completely clueless right off the bat. Secondly is the MC gets better hidden quests and better gear than anyone else in his starter area and is hooked into potentially world changing story arcs while everyone else is just killing rats and mangy wolves. Many high level npcs are very interested in taking a drect hand in his development and Oh and he apparently stumbles into finding unique magic too. Put all that together and he is really got far too many advantages almost right out of the gate for the story to be really challenging. The MC will prevail because he is special. I get tired of almost everything in litrpgs being handed to the MCs because their special. I want them to work for it and maybe get one or two nice things which complement their character, not loads of stuff and secrets and abilities and magic that when taken as a hole cheapen the Main characters adventure and story.

Questing A LITRPG Novella eBook Kieron Uchee Reviews

Excellent story. Love the way it jumped write into the game. Also had some real world story, enough to give some perspective but not enough to distract. The grammar, spelling and word smith were top notch which seems to be a continuing problem with these type stories now of days .
I actually was not put off by the length of the story since it was advertised as a novella, however I was a little put off by the rather abrupt ending of the story. I will differently be looking forward to the rest of this story
Very interesting to read,I liked that it was different than other books, the character was someone I could relate too...the ending was not good should have been better but overall a good read
I can't really give this book a great rating. The MC is not really likeable. The book is a bit boring and abrupt. The ending, well it doesn't have one. It just cut as off with him coming back to town in the middle of things.
Since it was on kindle unlimited, I'll see if the second book is better... If not I won't bother with the third.
Where is the rest of the story? the books feels half done.

SPOILER

MC find's a family of ghosts, agrees to help them and brings them back to his room, then the book just ends.
Over all a good book. Sure it took less than a day to read. But I look forward to the next one.
I think this one needs to go back in the oven for awhile.
The story begins abruptly - no backstory and no setup. The MC receives his VR cube and dives. His objectives - basically "don't bother me, I want to do things at my own pace". Nice thoughts, but little character or universe building.

Much of the early story is told a bit mechanically, though it does improve.
The game mechanics - somewhat confusing. Initial attributes are mostly 20/100 - 20 what? Is 100 the maximum? Obviously not from later stat updates, but we really have no comparisons for character growth. Attributes are mentioned to grow with character actions, but examples aren't given. Skills appear to be purchased, but do actions improve them or are additional purchases necessary? One of the positives of an RPG is that we can see the character grow, and understand the growth relationship - not so here...

Not much foreshadowing that allows readers to get into the overall story ARC. There does seem to be a general ARC hiding in the background somewhere, though it's not yet apparent to the reader.
Finally, the story flow is generally okay, but it feels like you ended this novella in the middle of a sentence - no meaningful conclusion.
A book is quite different than a chapter serial on RRL - it needs to be cohesive and impactful as a whole rather than merely telling a story.
Great start to a new series. The only problem with this book is that it ended to soon I see this as a set of books that will be enjoyed by many little readers hope book two is out soon and longer
